Newsletter #2 - Fall 2023

A beautiful close-up of our Chardonnay fermenting in barrel – looking like little golden diamonds!

CELEBRATION

We’re celebrating the end of harvest! All our grapes are in and we’ve had an amazing harvest. It was a little nail-biting with the abnormally cool weather, but we ended up with some stunning juice. Huzzah!

INSPIRATION

My five senses are so inspired at this time of year: the crisp air on my skin that tells me fall and winter are coming, the beautiful golden light that makes everything glow, the taste of all the great fall produce at the farmer’s market (those apples!) that is giving us a break from zucchini and tomatoes, and  — of course — the smell of fermentation everywhere you go in the Valley that is just the most delicious and heady thing out there.

TEAM UPDATES

We’re small and mighty — and busier than ever!

Mike is working overtime in the cellar, making sure every grape is treated with the utmost care and attention; Laura has been hard at work on our Wine Club shipments and end of year gifting, and I’ve been finishing up my travels for the season with a great stop in Florida for the Wynwood Wine Camp.

Of course, I’m also always here to host our lovely friends and fans at Wheeler Farms and Feast it Forward, as sharing our wines is one of my favorite things to do. Please come see us soon!

Have a lovely autumn and I’ll see you in December.

Cheers m’dears xoxo
