I hope you had a great Halloween, All Saint’s Day and Dia de los Muertos!
We’ve completed another amazing harvest in the Napa Valley, so it’s a great time to give you some updates.
I’m having the absolute time of my life hosting our “Lunch with Jaime” tastings at Museion in Calistoga! Welcoming guests into this cozy, light-filled space feels like inviting friends into my own living room, where I get to pour five of our wines, share the stories behind each bottle, and watch everyone’s eyes light up as they savor the pairings with our sandwich-and-salad spreads or plated lunches. The laughter, the easy conversation, and the pure joy of connecting over great wine and food in this beautiful setting is what fills my heart every single time.
I woke up this morning to a friend sharing that I have been chosen as a 2025 Wine Industry Leader by Wine Business Monthly as a “Culture Shifter & Energizer”! I had no idea this was coming and was so pleasantly surprised. Also, we’ve been so humbled recently by the scores we received from Jim Gordon, an esteemed wine writer for JamesSuckling.com. Our 2024 Chenin Blanc was awarded 92 points, the 2023 Muir-Hanna Chardonnay received 93 points, and the 2024 Ryan’s Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc got 94 points! And I have to admit we all got a bit teary-eyed when we read this amazing piece about Trois Noix in The Wine Spectator written by the wonderful MaryAnn Worobiec. She captured the heart and soul of Trois Noix perfectly, and we were thrilled to be able to share a little bit of ourselves with the Wine Spec readers.
Lastly, the holiday gifting season is already in full swing! We’ve put together several beautiful selections to choose from for personal or corporate gifting, and as a certified B Corp and Napa Green certified winery, our wines are crafted with people and planet in mind so you can know your gift is doing good. And great news – you can apply your loyalty points to gift purchases! Just log into your account to check your balance, and apply your points at checkout. If you have a bunch of recipients, just reply to this email and I will get you in touch with Laura to take care of all of your gifting needs.
Your continued support for our wines warms our hearts more than you know. Take good care, and drink well!
Jaime
It’s becoming something of an end-of-harvest tradition to hand press our teeny weeny lot of Cabernet Sauvignon from Ryan’s Vineyard. Mike and our friend Andres got their arm workout, and we got some delicious juice for the 2025 vintage.Clearly, Jaime is having too much fun at the sorting table!
The 2025 Harvest is put to bed…
Our official vintage began the last week of August with Muir-Hanna Chardonnay, a classic start to the season for Trois Noix. Picking decisions came easily thanks to sound fruit quality, and there was no need for rushed or time-pressured harvesting as can happen in years with extreme heat events. The fruit across all our vineyards arrived at the winery with outstanding freshness, ripeness, and beautiful color in the reds (kudos to our awesome vineyard managers!).Early tastings of our Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, and Cabernet Sauvignon indicate that 2025 is another strong vintage for Trois Noix, with the young wines already showing notable concentration and depth of flavor.~ Mike Tracy, Director of WinemakingRead more about the growing season and our expanded use of native fermentations in Mike’s blog post HERE.
Trois Noix Out & About
Jaime represented Trois Noix last week at the PE/VC Cares Art Battle event in San Francisco! This event supports Help For Children‘s mission to fund the most innovative and effective programs for the prevention and treatment of child abuse. By sponsoring events like this, we embody our pillar of “community,” where we actively nurture meaningful connections – whether through charity, shared causes, or the simple joy of coming together to make a positive impact.
Mike is taking a well deserved post-harvest break in Spain at the moment (shout out to the lovely people at Lopez de Heredia and Pingus who are taking good care of him over there!). As soon as he gets back, he’s representing Trois Noix and sharing our Muir-Hanna trial data on a SommCon panel called “Exploration of Regenerative Viticulture and its Impact on Wine Quality”. Jaime will be moderating the discussion with Mike and fellow panelists Steve Matthiasson (Vintner at Matthiasson Wines), and Natalie Winkler (Viticulturist and Winemaker, Michel-Schlumberger and Co-Founder, Roots Vineyard Consulting). If you want to geek out with us, let us know and we’ll send a link to join the webinar!
Upcoming:Jaime will be in Austin, TX on November 8th pouring at events with our friends at Swallow Wines – if you’re in the area, come say hi! Then she will be off to Southern California and San Diego, pouring with the lovely folks at Meritage Wine Market in San Diego. Tickets should be available soon if you want to join her.
We are also starting to get prepared for the 2nd Annual Artisans of Wine and Food festival in Boca Raton January 15-18th. This 4-day wine weekend is the largest Napa Valley Wine-focused event outside of Napa Valley, and you don’t want to miss it. Some of the events are close to selling out, so be quick and buy your tickets today. Jaime’s going to be co-hosting a dinner on a yacht (cue the Doobie Brothers…) – we can’t wait! We’ll see you there!
The 2025 vintage was ideal, rounding out the third consecutive year of favorable winegrowing conditions for the Napa Valley. Read Mike’s in-depth recap of this wonderful season plus details of our expanded use of native fermentations.
I’m checking in to say “happy summer”, let you know about an exciting upcoming new release, and share some good vibes because we all need them right now 🙂.
Anyone who has spent five minutes with me will know that I am obsessed with BCorp and love to talk about it, always! While March was officially “B-Corp month” globally, at Trois Noix, we have ongoing activities and actions that support maintaining our status.
